We made a side trip to the Wildseed Farm in Fredericksburg a few weeks back. If you've never been, go. They have fields of flowers in the spring that you can walk through, a butterfly exhibit, a great selection of native plants, wildflower seeds, pots, and ice cream and beer inside. (I swear I don't work for them)
Most of the flowers out in the fields were past bloom, so we missed most of the bluebonnets. We were all dressed up from church, so of course we had to find a few spots for pictures. We even found a few plants left of their 'maroon' bluebonnets!
