Too Much

It has been a long time, I know, since I last posted. It seems we just have TOO MUCH going on. And it seems to be getting busier as time goes on. I don't have much time tonight, but wanted to write a quick word.

We had our family pictures taken since I posted last, and I will add a few of those this week hopefully (I don't have time to wait on our old, slow computer tonight). Then, of course, we started gearing up for deer season. Checking trail cams every other day, doing surveys at night, and starting to sit in deer stands takes up more time than you would think.

Then, just as things were going into 'full swing' mode, a tragedy hit. We lost a friend Thursday night. He worked at the YO Ranch, and was working exotics at the auction barn for Saturday's sale, when he was killed by a barasinga in a tragic accident. He was 27, and leaves behind a young wife. Please take a moment and say a quick prayer for her and the family. We go to the funeral tomorrow, and it will be a hard day for everyone.

Even though we have been so busy, we haven't done anything extremely exciting. So no new pics other than the family pics. I'm sure we'll have some in the near future with deer season here and all.

Darcy is doing well and getting a little more sociable. She still takes a little while to warm up to someone new, but she's getting better. She decided that she would be potty trained about a month ago, which was a nice surprise. Although we had slowly been working on it for several months. It's hard for us to keep up with potty training when our normal trip to town takes an hour. A two year old bladder usually doesn't hold out that long. We have to get creative on days we're heading to town, but we're figuring it out. Maybe she'll be ready for school next year after all!

To all... be safe and love strong.
