First Fishing Experience

Again, I know we are long overdue for an update. It seems the days have been sliding by, especially since we have started deer surveys.

We took Darcy fishing on our last trip to Bellville a few weekends ago, and here are a few pics. While her 2 year old attention span did not allow her to sit patiently and hold the pole until a fish bit, she did have fun splasing in the water and playing(harrassing) with the (to be sympathized) minnows.

Meanwhile, she relied on others (namely Dad and Grandpa) to hold the pole and do the fishing.

She was more than happy to assist reeling or pulling a fish in though. And she first thought she was a girl and didn't want to touch the fish, but soon changed her mind when she realized she was supposed to take it back over to the water and throw it in (we were practicing catch-and-release).

And when we were done, she had to "release" the minnows by throwing each one in the tank. Many wet wipes later, we were back in the truck. I'll leave you with the classic "first fish" pose.
