Whoa... It's been a YEAR!

Well, I've just started another page on our blog to chronicle our journey of building a house.  Check it out!  (At the top of the page, click 'Our Barndominium)  AND I realized that it's been almost a YEAR since I posted on here?!?  My how time flies!

So I'm now on my 7th 'Fix' from Stitch Fix and still really loving it!  Never heard of Stitch Fix?  Or ready to give it a try?  Here's a referral link where you can get started!  Click HERE to find out what all the fuss is about!

7th Stitch Fix
Soooo....   What have we been doing all of this time, you ask?  Well, a lot.  We've had more birthdays, celebrated Christmas, played basketball, raised show animals, showed show animals....

Darcy showing one of her goats.

More birthdays, birthed more babies here on the ranch.....

Stopped to smell the flowers...

MADE BUTTER FROM RAW MILK!....

And we are currently enjoying spring and all that goes with it.  Green grass, fresh produce, and spring rains!

Winter Update

My, where has the time gone?? 2013 has come and gone.  Christmas, New Years, my birthday, all gone.  So what has been going on in Mountain Home?  A LOT.  School, family gatherings, stock showing (for the first time), work, work, and more work.  And throw a gaggle of animals and some freezing weather in there too.

Darcy showed goats in her 1st Stock Show this year!  She did really well in the ring and we were really proud of the way she handled herself and her goats!

And the weather this year!  Geez!  We've had more delayed-start school days in the past two months than Darcy has seen in her school career combined!  Even missed a day, so looks like we'll be going to school on Good Friday.  We're just not used to such things, here in the Texas Hill Country.  So I thought this was fitting for our February.

Well, I say all the time I'm going to try to be better about posting, but this time I mean it.  Look for more posts from me in the coming months.  I plan on starting to post not only family updates, but product reviews and interesting tidbits from my entrepreneurial endeavors.  Cheers for now!

More... What We've Been Up To

So after those triplets were born, we had, ohhh, about 20 + more babies within about 2 weeks.

And then, one evening, we went down to check on the babies and baby mommas, and found a momma that didn't make it.  Her babies were a few days old, and now they have a new momma...

We named them Lucy and Ethel.  Lucy is a bit pushier than Ethel, of course.  But what a pair they make.  They've actually been good bottle babies and have kept each other company.  Which has given our dog Brusky a break from his usual role of babysitter-to-the-bottle-babies.  Darcy's having a blast with them and Dax just tries to run them over in his Little Tykes car.  Ahh, the differences between girls and boys...

We have a busy weekend ahead, so I'm off to get ready!

Busy Summer!

While we've been super busy here, it's been mostly work. And nothing exciting enough to take pictures. I haven't even had time to look on the camera to see if I have anything interesting! I'll try to do that in the next few weeks. So for now, I'm celebrating figuring out how to take video off the camera and converting it so that I can email or post it! Here's one from this winter, when we had Cotton, our bottle baby sheep. This is an example of her and Darcy's daily exercise routine...
